As we pointed out here, Etnies has teamed up with the La Reserva Forest Foundation and the Maleku indigenous tribe in Palenque El Sol, Costa Rica to plant a tree in the rainforest to match each sale of their Jameson 2 Eco shoe in the Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree initiative. Click below for the first of 3 Pura Vida videos from this trip, when Ryan Sheckler, Kyle Leeper and company were in Costa Rica to plant the first 150 trees…

Issue 112 cover hombre (and “1611 East” feature subject) Ian Twa rides for a Chicago-based board company called Affiliate, and earlier this year he met up with the team down in Puerto Rico. Watch Twa, along with Derrick Wilson, Andre Colbert, Emmet Duffy and Dax Miller do their thing in a tropical paradise:
Earlier this week, Concrete video reviewer Ben Stoddard sent over a private link to Don’t Sleep Productions’ latest video. Shot in Squamish, BC, this project was a solid last-minute submission to the Whistler Telus Ski & Snowboard Festival’s “72hr. Filmmaker Showdown”.
“We went up to the director’s meeting with no script or plan hoping we would come up with something magically,” Benny explains. “On the drive it was blue bird and we decided to stick to what we know best and shoot a skate montage. After a few phone calls we gathered the troops and had an epic 2 day journey into Squambladesh.”
Now that it’s been given the green light to post, you can watch AJ McCallister, Corey Klim, Cory Wilson, Nick Moore, Nate Lacoste and company take care of business:
And the park montages keep flowin’. This time around Ryan Smith (not the Ryan Smith) from Kerupt Films put together some footy shot at Vancouver’s Kensington skatepark. Spencer Hamilton (check him in Issue 112’s commercial and “1611 East” feature), Sean Lowe, Chad Dickson and Caleb Davies roll deep on the perimeter in this one:

If you’ve run into them skating in Metro Vancouver, you might have noticed the tell-tale stickers on their boards, but now it’s official. Quiksilver Canada welcomes Magnus Hanson and Bradley Sheppard to the team.
They join Jordan Hoffart, Cory Wilson, Pat O’Rourke, Torey Goodall and Dustin Henry. Quite the roster. You’ll be seeing more from the Quik squad this summer during their tour-stints through BC, Alberta and Ontario. Stay tuned.

Pretty hard not to have a good time at QB…
